Ema Borras began training in the Vaganova method at Metropolitan Classical Ballet under the direction of Alexander Vetrov and Yelena Borisova. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin, where she performed with Dance Repertory Theater. During those four years, she had the honor of performing an original work by David Justin at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and also performed guest artist works by Ohad Naharin, Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, and Alex Ketley.
After returning to Fort Worth, she began to work as a freelance artist. She has worked with both classical ballet and contemporary companies including Ballet North Texas, Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet, Mejia Ballet International, Ballet Concerto, Pedestrian Dance Movement, Urban Performing Company, and Wanderlust Dance Company.
She is excited to start her first season with 6 O’Clock Dance Theatre while also taking her first steps into her career in Cosmetology.
