Rachel Blevins-Boor began her pre-professional training in Irvine, CA at the Maple Conservatory of Dance, where she performed classical ballet works under the direction of Patrick Frantz and Charles Maple. Rachel also danced for and led her high school's Dance Ensemble under the direction of Sheryl Sloate, for which she choreographed, facilitated, and performed in concerts, fundraisers, and rallies.
Rachel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Dance from Point Park University in 2018 under the direction of Garfield Lemonius. During her time at Point Park, she performed works by distinguished choreographers such as Kate Skarpetowska, Stephanie Martinez, and Kiesha Lalama. In addition to her extensive training at Point Park, Rachel has spent her summers with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, BODYTRAFFIC, the TL Collective, Robert Moses' Kin, and Spectrum Dance Theater.
After graduation, Rachel moved to San Francisco and had the privilege of performing with Robert Moses' Kin and Peri Trono and training at Alonzo King's LINES Dance Center in Downtown San Francisco.
During the summer of 2019, Rachel gave her life to Jesus Christ and moved to Dallas. During her time in the DFW area, she has danced with Zion Dance Project, performed at the State Fair of Texas, and taught at Epicenter for the Arts and the London School of Dance. She currently teaches for Lake Highlands Dance Academy, volunteers for Gateway of Grace, partakes in a book club with some of her closest friends, and works at Lululemon.
Rachel joined 6 o’Clock Dance Theatre as a dancer in January 2022.
Rachel is overjoyed to be invited into the 6 o'Clock community as well as hopeful to experience and invite others into the available freedom, healing, and restoration of a dance environment by the hands of God.
