Erin Patterson began her early dance training in Denver, Colorado at various studios in the metro area and finished her high school years at Boulder Ballet. Erin attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Dance. Her supplementary training includes summers at the American Ballet Theater, Ballet West, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and b12 workshops in Berlin. Erin has had the privilege of performing in classic works such as The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, La Bayadere, and Giselle. In addition, she has performed in various works by choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Robert Moses Kin, Mathew Powell, and Annalee Traylor.
Erin began her professional performance career with Texture Contemporary Ballet in Pittsburgh under the direction of Alan Obuzor and Kelsey Bartman. After three amazing seasons, she chose to move to further her training, expand her teaching, and pursue new opportunities. After a short period in NYC, life’s turns brought her to Texas. Upon moving to Dallas, Erin joined 6 o’Clock Dance Theatre as a dancer in August 2022 and is incredibly grateful to continue pursuing her passion with this wonderfully talented group of artists!
Although performing is her main career pursuit, Erin has the pleasure of sharing her love of the art through teaching. Erin has taught young, aspiring students for over 7 years and she is extremely fulfilled by passing down the knowledge she has gained through her experiences. The art of dance has kept her soul alive and breathing and she hopes to touch others’ lives with that same love. Erin believes that by sharing our most authentic form of expression through movement, we can add beauty, intrigue, and light to the world.
