Pierce Pennington

Dancer

Pierce Pennington is a graduate of Sam Houston State University Class of 2023 with a B.F.A. in Dance and a minor in Mass Communications. Pierce has set choreographic works for studios in Georgia, Texas, and Pennsylvania, winning choreographic awards across the country. Pierce has participated in works by choreographers Gregory Dolbashian, Addison Ector, Jeffrey Gugliotti, Allison Gupton, Cherise Wakeham, Adele Nickel, Andy and Dionne Noble, Joshua Mansulich, Traivs Lake, Arinze Okammar, Braeden Barnes, Morgan Williams, Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Brandon Fink, and Brian Stevens. In 2022, Pierce performed professionally with NobleMotion Dance in Andy Noble's “Escape Velocity,” "Rhythm Study" performed in the 2022 and 2023 ACDA performances, and cast in Noble’s “Tower” showcased at ACDA Nationals.


After graduating, Pierce relocated to Wisconsin to continue her professional career in dance with Waterstreet Dance Milwaukee where she had the opportunity to perform "Illuminate,” "Water on Water," "Solstice V," and toured at Green Bay, Michigan, and Minnesota locations. Pierce traveled to Missouri to train with Big Muddy, now known as St. Louis Dance Theatre, and performed in serval works by Kirven Douthit-Boyd. She has recently relocated to Dallas, Texas to develop project-based work and dance professionally with 6 o’Clock Dance under the direction of Zach Law Ingram, Marielle McGregor, and Jennifer Mabus and most recently danced with Brian Stevens in his world premiere of “Fall All Over Me.” Outside of dance, she works in fitness sales with companies such as Pure Barre and Club Pilates. Pierce loves choreographing, Pilates, and teaching, and is very passionate about her love for dance and performing.
