Renee Walters
Dancer
Renee Walters, a Dallas native, studied various dance techniques from an early age and received training at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as well as Houston Ballet’s Pre-Professional program. Over the course of her training, Renee attended intensives at Miami City Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In May 2018, Renee graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s in Human Behavior and Intercultural Communications.
During the latter part of her college years, Renee was fortunate enough to dance with 6 o’Clock Dance Theatre for a season and was a founding member of the Zion Dance Project.
Currently, Renee is in her second year on staff with a campus ministry located in the DFW area, FOCUS. On any given week, Renee gets to meet with students and cultivate a community on campus in a few different ways. Renee is part of a team that works specifically at the Plano campus of Collin College. She finds great fulfillment in collaborating with a wonderful team of people and through the meaningful aspects of her work for the students at Collin College. Outside of her work, Renee is blessed by the relationships she’s cultivated within her church community, East Plano Fellowship, providing her with a strong sense of belonging and joy.
Renee returned to dancing with 6 o’Clock Dance Theatre in August 2022.
